Cous Cous is a dish of North African origin made from small steamed balls of wheat durum semolina with a diameter of about 3 mm. Cous Cous is versatile ingredient can also be used as a non-traditional side dish in many classic recipes. Couscous is a versatile ingredient that’s great as a storecupboard standby. Couscous is traditionally served with vegetables and possibly meat. In Tunisia, couscous is prepared with the spicy harissa sauce and served with everything from lamb to fish and even camel. There is also a sweet variant that is often eaten as a dessert, prepared with almonds, cinnamon and sugar or dates, sesame seeds and honey.
